Bruno Mars is an American singer, songwriter, producer, and musician. He is known for his wide range of genres including pop, R&B, rock, and hip hop. 

Mars has sold over 130 million records worldwide and has won numerous awards including Grammy Awards and Billboard Music Awards.

Story of Bruno Mars

Mars was born Peter Gene Hernandez on October 8, 1985, in Honolulu, Hawaii. His father was a Latin percussionist from Brooklyn, New York and his mother was a hula dancer from the Philippines. 

Mars began making music at a young age and he cites Elvis Presley as his main influence.

Mars’ musical career began in 2004 when he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a record deal. He signed with Motown Records in 2009 and released his debut album Doo-Wops & Hooligans in 2010. 

The album peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned the hit singles “Grenade” and “Just the Way You Are”, which earned Mars his first two Grammy Awards.

In 2012, Mars released his second album Unorthodox Jukebox. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned the hit singles “Locked Out of Heaven” and “When I Was Your Man”. 

The album won Mars another Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album.

Mars’ third studio album 24K Magic was released in 2016. The album debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned the hit single “That’s What I Like”. The album won Mars another Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
