Most students lose it when they are writing their private writing. This may be caused by the fact that some of them struggle to organize their work and maintain a structured paper. A thesis proposal is one of the ways through which students can explain the research methods that led to the results obtained. It helps the research committee understand the kind of data to expect from their research. Now, what should you include in your thesis proposal?

  1. Abstract: This is the section that states the purpose of your research and how you intend to carry it. It describes the main ideas that you want to discuss in your Ph.D. Whether it is explaining the methodology or simply describing the kind of data that you anticipate to collect, the abstract should be clear and precise.
  2. Chapters: Here, you translate the proposal's main points into understandable successive parts. The chapters help the reader to understand the main points and see how they connect to the main part of the thesis.
  3. Introduction: This is the section that introduces the paper to the readers. It should be descriptive and catchy. Ensure that the presentation is vivid to attract the review board.
  4. Literature Review: This is the section that shows the kind of information sources that you have used to do your research. The literature to use in this section must be relevant and recent. Provide all the information that you need from the search engine for clients to know.
  5. Methodology: Here, you tell the committee how you did your research and the procedures involved. Help them understand the process you employed to analyze the data and offer recommendations to improve it.
  6. Results: Here, you interpret the findings of your research and offer further explanations. Mention the improvements that followed these steps. Ensure that you make them short and precise.
  7. Discussion: If there are any limitations due to previous studies, you need to explain it in detail. Explain to the reviewers how your research works to overcome the limitation.
  8. Citation: If you have any plagiarism issues, you need to provide a citation. Make sure that all the people who come to your rescue are able to cite your paper here.

The last section of a thesis is the reference section. Even though it is included in the requirements and permitted in the program, it is not mandatory. Because it is a technical paper, you may have to include other sources but avoid getting new rules. The guidelines for people to use are often changing. Please take your time when choosing a good source.
