New & Upcoming Music Releases

New & Upcoming Music Releases

Nice to see old artist are still doing what they love and they are doing it great.
I loved that when Pink Floyd (reamins) launched Endless River.

A Mexican band I follow called Caifanes launched a single after two decades, so I am sure they will have a full album soon.

Jazz

General Music Discussions

I love to play some slow jazz in the bass, I love that sound, I typically play rock and pop for money, but jazz is really the reason I like the bass.

Also I love Jamiroquai, its really a great band, every song is fantastic, one of my favourite bands
Also, those basslines... are amazing.

New Age

General Music Discussions

I rediscovered this music just recently, when I was in a party, and they put some background music for the dinner.
I started to search for a song days after, found Enigma, and started to listen more songs of other artists.

Not my favourite genre, but very relaxing.

Conductors have a important role, even if they look silly or useless for the untrained eye, but their muscians undertand them. Also many times the musicians play very long songs, even with partiture, they need a guide to play correctly, isnt so simple as with four, five or even ten integrant bands with commercial songs.

Piano

Instruments & Equipment

I can say learning some piano is very important, even if you play other instrument. You can learn scales faster, understand chords, you can do it in guitar too I know, but doing the same in piano its quicker and you can extraplate to other instruments later. In guitar bu its nature, in some chords you have to skip a note, in piano you can use the full chord, and is easier to understand extended chords, seventh chords, altered chords because you can spot the octaves at first sight always.

And if you sing is really helpful, you can train you voice with piano easier than with guitar.

Very intersting story about Heart of glass origin, the video explains well.

There are more controversies about other songs origins.

Nice suggestions, I dont know too much about dance, and even if I like a song in the club, I rarely can find it later, specially if has not lyrics.

I am sure you know this:

Songwriting

Lyrics & Songwriting

A good thing its to learn to recognize the feeling in every chord. Some chords sound happy, others sound sad, mysterious. Same for scale where such chord is the root.

Drums

Instruments & Equipment

Its true, software drums today sound real because they record real drums, same with other instruments.
But people still want to listen life music, that the reason of concerts and festival, so a drummer and other instrumentist is always welcome.
Also software still cant emulate guitar, even with the real sounds effects, sounds obviously fake.

For me is the hardest part, I love to experiment with chords, progressions, riffs, but I can hardly think in lyrics.
It was easier when I started for some reason.
