So much good music out there to discover which is why I’m glad I started checking out bandmag. I don’t listen to terrestrial radio so while I don’t have to listen to the same old drivel, I tend to miss out on good acts (on the rare occasion they make it past the corporate gauntlet). Chelsea’s “Don't Leave Me Now” is haunting and melancholy and honestly, I wouldn’t even think of it as country pop. It reminds me a bit of Sarah McLachlan’s early work. The music holds you, but it doesn’t overpower the song’s best attributes—Chelsea’s voice and the emotion she conveys.

About Chelsea Berman

Making her start on the music scene 5 years ago with her duo ‘Just Between Us’, fresh Central Coast talent, Chelsea Berman, has since launched her solo career, gigging throughout Newcastle, the Central Coast and Sydney.

In early 2018 she released her first solo EP, Better Than Ever. Debuting at number four on the Itunes country album charts, her EP has seen a lot of media attention. Joining writing forces with the likes of Chelsea Basham and Rachael Fahim, Chelsea has started out strong in the country music industry and plans to stay there.

So young, with a growing career in the country music scene and already racking up accolades including; Top 10 ‘Country Song of the Year’ in The Song Comp (2018), Finalist ‘Most Popular Australian Indie Country Music EP’ in the ICMA awards (2018), Winner Homegrown Songwriting Competition (2015), and Finalist in the Australian Songwriters Association Songwriting Competition (2014, 2015 & 2016), Chelsea is certainly one to watch.
